Russische Sauna Banja „Berezka“

Directions

Russian banja in Moabit with two sauna rooms that, according to guests, are heated to over 100 °C. You do the infusion yourself, and a venik (bundle of twigs) can be pre-ordered. After sweating you sit at the bar with tea, beer and Russian home cooking. Guests describe the banja as authentic and rather rustic, and a few criticise the condition of the rooms. There is no website. According to a review from early 2026, entry was around €20.

Good to know for your first visit

  • Be on time for the Aufguss and stay till the end if you can. If you need to leave, go before the towel waving.
  • After sweating, rinse off, then into the cold water.
  • Shower and dry off before your first round, you sweat better when dry.
  • Drink water between rounds and take your time to rest.
